I use a poor/fair/good/very good/excellent/mint grading system and grade very conservatively (see my feedback). Some of it is in perfect shape and some is in rough condition. Things to look out for in the photos are page yellowing, corner bumping, rips and tears, handwriting, etc. — normal flaws in old paper.
