Antique 1830s New Brunswick Fire Insurance Company Ledger New Jersey NJ + Stock
This is a very rare ledger for the New Brunswick Fire Insurance Company of New Jersey. It is entirely handwritten. The policies stretch from the early to the late 1830s. Antique original book. Consists of approximately 120 handwritten leaves. There must be a couple hundred antique handwritten fire insurance policies within this book. The agent’s name appears to be E.J. Thornton. Please note that it is in rough shape and completely disbound. The pages themselves are in very good condition. Also included are two stock transfer certificates, each for 80 shares. Each certificate has an antique stamp. There are three other antique documents. They appear to be official wills certified by the state of New Jersey. You can see state seal in the photos. Check it out…Here’s an unusual 5 3/4″ tall by 4″ wide multi-paged illustrated First Aid instructional booklet from the Prudential Insurance company out of Newark, New Jersey-Undated but I’m guessing its from the 1920-30s, but it could be older- Front features great vintage Art Deco style image of a trio of men tending to a wounded man & reads “First Aid” on front with an ad for Prudential inset on back-Inside has pages-and-pages inside featuring great real photo images of typical first aid demonstrations with brief descriptions and info inside-These old booklets are some of the coolest things to flip through! Shows usual wear consistent with age and normal use -A great VINTAGE item ready for display!.
